Lewis Carroll
I've been reading recently about the controversy surrounding a photograph Lewis Carroll took of Alice Liddell (the Alice who inspired Alice in Wonderland). After exploring a bunch of his work, what rang true for the 'Alice photo' could be found in all his pictures: young girls exuding a confidence much older and sensuous than their apparent ages. There's definitely something controversial going on here, but also something very intriguing.
